FCRV National Rally, 7/05-12/2007

This is our home site for the week at the FCRV National Rally in Pueblo, Colorado. We had electricity and water but no sewer connection. They did have a dump service available for $12.00. Fortunately we didn't have to use it. We were able to wait until we got to our next camp ground. Peggy had a tooth that she lost a filling in. She checked with some local people and got the name of a dentist close to the Fair Ground. She had a temporary filling put in until next Monday when he will put on the crown.

This is just one of the many rows of RVs.

One of the rows of vendors that were at the rally. Unfortunately I always find something I think I need. Many times they have new products that I have never seen. I bought an extra step for the RV. It is a step to add to the existing steps when the two on the RV are not close enough to the ground. I also bought two vent additions to the two on the coach that are suppose to help eliminate odor. They attach to the vents on the roof and finally I had four chips and a crack fixed on my wind shield.

Thursday night opening ceremonies.

The Red Hat Parade. There were about 180 ladies in the parade. Peggy was in it but I couldn't find her in the line with all the red hats to get a picture of her.

Just one of the many lines of RV's at the rally. There were over 500 RVs at the rally and this is considered a small rally. Some of Good Sam's Rallies have over a 1000 RVs.

The start of the parade on the last day. The flags are from the countries and states represented at the rally. You can see the Alabama flag in the line, the third one back on the right.

The Teen Queen and her court.

The landscaping in front of the Event Center. Our camp site was just behind this building. We had a great time visiting with old and new friends. Even though this isn't one of the largest rallies it takes a tremendous amount of work to put it together and this is all done by volunteers. Many thanks to the Colorado people who put in many hours of their time to make this a success. We left here on the 12th for the Golden Eagle Ranch and Campground just south of Colorado Springs. We need to catch up on the laundry, get haircuts and sight see the many attractions in the Colorado Springs area. We will be here for two weeks.
